Ever felt that you don't get treated equally and don't get the same opportunities as others do in the Film and Television Industry. You rarely see people from your race or sex playing the Superhero or the lead in big budget films or television shows. And when you see them, you see them as a Stereotype or a Caricature, and feel that this is not right ,and someone should do something about this.
Well we are the someone.
Say hello to the Change project.
The aim for The Change Project is to create an equal platform in the entertainment industry for all minorities, people of color and women, without being stereotyped and made into a caricature through the medium of art, film, and media.
With this photoshoot we are tackling whitewashing.
Whitewash according to the Urban Dictionary means a term that now has also come to refer to the entertainment industry's attempt at making ethnic characters more appealing to the white, money-spending masses by making exotic characters less ethnic and more "white."
The Actors you see in these images are Middle Eastern, Asian, East Indian, Hispanic,Native American, and Pacific Islander ,the people who get constanltly whitewashed in the entertainment industry
